Care That Meets You Where You Are

Anxiety and depression are among the most common mental health conditions affecting adults, and they often occur together. Symptoms can interfere with work, relationships, sleep, and overall quality of life — but effective, evidence-based treatment is available.

At CJ Medical Center, Carlos Jimenez, DNP, PMHNP-C, ADHD-CCSP, FNP-C provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for anxiety and depressive disorders through secure telehealth visits. Adults 18 and older can receive professional mental health care without traveling to an office.

Every patient begins with a comprehensive evaluation so that treatment recommendations are based on your individual symptoms, history, and goals — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Conditions and Symptoms We Address

Our anxiety and depression services may help adults experiencing concerns such as:

Generalized anxiety

Persistent, excessive worry that is difficult to control and may interfere with daily activities.

Panic symptoms

Episodes of intense fear or discomfort that may include physical symptoms such as a racing heart or shortness of breath.

Social anxiety

Significant fear or avoidance of social situations due to worry about embarrassment or judgment.

Major depressive symptoms

Persistent low mood, loss of interest or pleasure, changes in sleep or appetite, low energy, or difficulty concentrating.

Persistent depressive symptoms

A chronic, lower-grade depressed mood that lasts over time and affects daily functioning.

What to Expect During Your Evaluation

Comprehensive review

Your initial visit is a thorough psychiatric evaluation. Your provider will review your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current medications, and how your symptoms affect your daily life.

Open discussion

You will have time to describe your concerns, ask questions, and discuss what you hope to achieve with treatment.

Clinical assessment

Based on the evaluation, your provider will discuss diagnostic impressions and whether treatment is appropriate for you.

Personalized Treatment Planning

If treatment is clinically appropriate, your provider will work with you to develop an individualized plan. Treatment recommendations are based on evidence-based practices and your specific needs.

  • Medication management when clinically indicated, prescribed at your provider’s discretion
  • Education about your condition and treatment options
  • Referrals for psychotherapy or counseling when beneficial
  • Coordination of care with other healthcare providers when needed
  • Ongoing monitoring and adjustment of your treatment plan

Follow-Up Appointments

Follow-up visits allow your provider to monitor your progress, review how you are responding to treatment, address side effects or concerns, and adjust your plan as needed. The frequency of follow-up appointments depends on your individual clinical situation.
